My name is John P Reilly and I am a Builder. I come from a long line of building craftsmen.
My grandfather, Hugh, was a master finish
carpenter. He worked on such prestigious projects as The Flat Iron
Building in Mid-town
Manhattan. My middle initial stands for Patrick, my father’s name. My
father had his own construction company. He started out building
functional things such as communication towers and sewage treatment
plants all over the world. Later he worked on monumental projects
such as the World Trade Center in New York.
In my career I have worked on everything from major office buildings (New York’s Citicorp Center, The Hospital Trust National Bank Building in Providence, RI,) to prisons, department stores, warehouses, and courthouses. I then headed my own company that designed and built high rise condominiums, office buildings, shopping centers and other free standing retail buildings. I should also mention that I am a graduate civil engineer and professional engineer. I have CT licenses for home inspection and new home contraction.
I have spent another part of my career building and renovating residential projects. As the partner in charge of construction I was directly responsible for building or renovating over 500 condominium units in New York. For eleven years, I developed and built two major single family home developments, Forest Park in Southbury and Arbor Ridge in Torrington. A few hundred homes later these vibrant communities continue to be successful today. It is this experience in the technical aspects of the real estate and construction field that I bring for you to judge.
After experiencing these different and diverse parts of this business, I have decided that I am happiest and best suited to work on a few small projects such as these homes in Fairfield. This business allows me to be completely involved in each decision and facet of the work. In addition, I like working with my customers to give them a house they can turn into a wonderful home. I believe we should both get some fun and enjoyment from an experience that is often associated with stress and anxiety.
So that’s who I am. I hope this information helps you when it comes time to find a new home.
